Welcome to the website of WSPT NewsTalk 1010 AM, Stevens Point's local radio station. This station was first on the air in Portage County and one of the earliest radio stations in Central Wisconsin. 1010 WSPT has previously been owned by Sentry Insurance and Chief Justice Warren Burger in storied history.
Today, the tradition of local ownership and commitment to the community are part of the mission statement of Muzzy Broadcasting, the current owners of 1010 WSPT. With a full time news director-- Scott Krueger-- and Portage County's local events plus SPASH, Pacelli, and Pointer sports play-by-play, it's no wonder the "movers and shakers" of Stevens Point are regular listeners of WSPT NewsTalk 1010 AM.
DONATIONS FOR HAITI
The Diocese of LaCrosse, which covers all of Central Wisconsin, will take up a special collection at church services this weekend for earthquake relief in Haiti. Catholic Relief Services has pledged at least 5-million dollars in aid.
